Local-first vs Cloud Sync
Overview
Prompty Cloud provide ability to help you:
- Sync your data across devices
- Backup your lost data
Note: Cloud sync feature is only available for paid users. Free users can use the import/export feature to sync data between devices manually.
Sync your data across devices
If you enable Prompty Cloud for Sync and Backup, we will store all of the following data to the Prompty Cloud server:
- Prompt
- Folder
- App Settings
- Model Usage

Getting Started
To enable Cloud Sync, click on your Profile then click on Manage Cloud Sync
- In the Manage Cloud Sync screen, click Send Verification Token
- Check your email inbox, enter the verification code from the email and click Verify Code
- Done! Cloud Sync will be activated
Recover your lost data
While Cloud Sync allows you to sync your data across devices, Prompty Cloud Backup takes a copy of your data and stores them safely in the cloud, ready to be retrieved if the original is lost or damaged.
Click “Re-sync All” or Re log into your Cloud account within Cloud Sync settings in case you lost any of your data while syncing.
Turn off Cloud sync
To disable Cloud Sync and stop syncing your data:
Settings tab -> Cloud Sync & Backup -> Click Turn Off Cloud Sync
